A dumb newbie question but when you see these people fly on you-tube and
the quad is 100's of ft. away ,, how do you know what is front / back / left/ right ??

I'd guess the wrong choice and I'd watch my quad sail away over the tree tops.

I painted the front protectors of my X5 orange so that I'd be able to control it better
just flying in the house.
 
Hi mate on my 700 i have white lights front red back legs , and also had a yellow ball up front , on my boys i put lights on the under plate, but what ever works for you
 
I don't think I'll be flying mine that high but still a heck of alot harder to control
vs. a plane.
