I am a believer in balancing propellers. F1 autos have had internally balanced engines for decades, long before the guys at the brickyard in Indianapolis figured it out that it helps. Granted we don't have too much left to balance on small quadcopters, but we can balance our propellers.
2 days ago I received an Hubsan Q4 h107L. The owner had a total of 4 abbreviated flights on it and decided that he'd had enough of quadCs. Ah, that means 4 crashes too I've ordered new props, batteries, and a prop wrench. Everything else appears to be OK. Of course I wanted to balance the props, but as you know you can't use a regular prop balancer with these mini props. Time to search the web for ideas!
My time spent on the internet was well worth it as I've got everything that I need onhand Check out this video on YouTube. The method works!!!
Now if that doesn't appeal to you, and you have a burned out motor, this other method is a gem too:
