Newbie member here saying hello with my first mock film trailer

Hi Guys 'n Gals,

Just joined the forum, so I thought I would introduce myself and say hi...

Been flying quads for just over a week and have a DJI F450 and Phantom 2 with H3-3D for my GoPro H4 Black and mobius wide angle actioncam on the F450 with Nomojello.

FPV setup currently with Blackpearl monitor /Immersion 600mw and CarlZeiss Cinemizer OLED (coming this week)

Total flights 6. 2 Crashes. one was a prop that went fling from the F450, the other was the Phantom that decided to RTF failsafe on first low batt warning when I flew quite a way from my home point and a 30ft tree was in the way!

Lesson learnt! Setting changed...

Gimbal plates bent, but straightened up fine.

Just a waring, the gopro does not like to crash with the usb plug and broke the contacts so awaiting replacement...bummer! Why no propriety port DJI? GRRR!

Weather here in the UK been pretty crappy so I threw together my first mock trailer for fun with raw footage. Final Cut Pro X arriving shortly with 5k iMac arriving tomorrow...

I am sure you can tell I am both very excited and dedicated...well I have to be considering the expense!

I made it as a joke to get my brother and sister in law excited about our Christmas visit in Dublin, hence the made up credits at the end...

He is a camera operator/grip in many films over there so is really looking forward to making an epic film with the quads...we'll see how it goes.

And yes, that was the TREE in the video that took out the Phantom!
 
Hi mate Welcome to the forum , looks as your doing well, :) just one word of warning if you use plastic props dont they snap in flight:mad: , and would be a shame for a nice quad to have a crash , i now only use carbon fibre and the quads fly much better on them , Well done cant wait to see some more videos

Thanks for the message and the welcome....perhaps I have put this in the wrong section as a first post saying hello as I was expecting some welcomes?

Yes I learnt that about the plastic props, My F450 came crashing down after fitting a new Turnigy Mobius gimbal of all days to do it!

Gimbal in pieces, mounting plates lost, but I am fitting anew motor and fabricating a new plate using the one that was found as a template...

I have since upgraded the Phantom 2 and F45o with carbon fibre props and they do fly better!

Work is very busy (self employed), but as soon as I get out and about this Christmas you can expect a few more videos.

Hi my friend , the forum is a little young still , lots of new members who have just started , and are a bit shy, it sounds like you know lots about the hobby , so would be nice for new members to have you here to help them
 
Hey guys, I'm new here, I just got a quadcopter, the Cheerson CX-30C wih Camera and I can't figure out how to take a picture with it. Can anyone help me out? That would be great thanks
 
Thanks thats what the forum is all about , i try and help every one even if i have not had the unit they ask about , some times the problem is some thing over looked by asking question , it makes them go back over things then they find a mistake
