Hi first build of a quadcopter but experience with slope gliders and race quite a few different car classes so have a bit of flight control and electronics knowledge. Just want to check a few things and make sure i'm not heading for disaster.
First of, can someone check out the build spec is ok?
Frame- Hobbyking x666
Flight Controller-MultiWii PRO Flight Controller w/MTK GPS Module+case
Motors-NTM Prop Drive Series 28-26A 1200kv / 286w (short shaft version) with its accessory pack.
ESC-Q Brain 4 x 25A Brushless Quadcopter ESC 2-4S 3A SBEC
Props- 8x4.5 / 10x5 /10x4.5 and see what works best.
Hitec optic 6 controller
Not decided whether to run 3 or four cell yet. I've got a lot of paired 2cell hard case packs i use for 1/8th buggies and was wondering about using those in series to make a four cell pack but worried about the weight being 600grames of batteries taking the build total to 1400 grames.
Would that be too much? I'm heading towards an acrobatic flyer eventually but stability first until i'm more skilled. Would be nice to go that way to keep cost down a bit and would give me 6500mha capacity. Guessing that would be a decent flight time too.
I've had a play with the Multiwii following a utube guide and have got the gps working kind of. Kind of as in it does find 4/5 sats after a minute or two but i can't imagine it will keep up in flight and will probably lose them quicker than it can acquire.
What i'm after is a guide that will take me through adjusting flight control aggressiveness settings, how to set up flips, return to home and bits like that if anybody can suggest one.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.
Heres build so far.
