Hi everyone, I've never really been into RC but about a year ago I picked up a Hubsan x4 mini quad. I love that thing and have flown it a ton (idk...20 flight hours?), I love flying it and showing other people what it can do. I'm officially hooked and I'd like to build a full size copter.

My goals with this copter is to carry FPV in the form of a fatshark system as well as a Gopro camera. I want long flight times and maybe some decent distance control. I work in manufacturing in electrical assembly so I have plenty of wiring/soldering experience and from watching youtube it doesn't seem to be super difficult to build one of these. I'm looking for critiquing, will this all work together? Weight concerns? Am I overbuying/can any fat get trimmed off for what I'm looking for? My budget is $1k but of course less cost would be preferable. This is what I have so far.

HI mate i had a look at your list for long flight times and fpv added you need 4 to 6 cell battery , the frame is good but your want a camera mount you need to get props out of view of camera , go for carbon fibre props Gemfan do some nice ones better for stable flight ,the charger is ok very basic when your not flying you will need to keep in a store charge batteries are not cheap so you need to look after them , if your not using them they cant be left at full charge or under 3.8 volt a cell or they will fail worse case catch on fire this is better http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/..._6_50W_6A_Balancer_Charger_w_accessories.html
may be look at the orange transmitter its very good its as good as a spektrum
