New Phantom choice

Hello,
Would the Phantom 2 V.2 without gimbal and camera for $330 be a good choice for just flying around? I don't have any interest in photography but want a nice drone.

Thanks for your reply. I have a Phantom 3 Pro on the way, but I was going to send it back. Do you think that is a good choice for filming? My 2 V2 comes today. The Phantom 3 Pro sounds so complicated, and I'm afraid that I won't be able to figure it all out. We all know about the lack of customer service from DJI.

I just joined this forum hope that their would be a Phantom group. Is there people here to help me get through all of the downloading and set up of the Phantom 3 Pro?

Hi mate don't worry to much all the phantoms have the Naza M and set up the same ,also there are loads of videos on you tube that will help ,updates are easy the software will do it for you once it's plugged in and phantom is turned on you just click on update tab and it will update it for you as for set up default is good to fly on ,the only things to change is turn on IOC mode and change one of the ATTI to manual mode , and set failsafe to return home and land , I think the landing has changed on the newer phantoms to just return home
They are easy to fly and you can have loads of fun in manual mode it's a handful so don't go into manual till your a good flier or in an emergency
 
Thank you very much, Neil. I guess I'll be finding out this weekend. My Phantom 2 comes today, and I also sent the Phantom 3 Pro back, today. They are a dime a dozen, so if I feel comfortable with the 2, I can reorder it, or get the 4.

The Phantom4 is amazing with its obstacles avoidance system the only pain is it will not let you fly near an airport

Do you know much about the 4? If so, does the camera go 360 degrees on it's gimble? I'm reading where the camera isn't that great. Are there any other really good brands with great build quality, easy to fly, and have excellent cameras.

Sorry guys my PC has died RIP so having a hard time getting on line . The P4 is really nice tool the pro phantoms have a top spec and a price to match to high for my blood as I share my RC flying with large CP Helis so thing get very pricey so try and draw a line on how much I spend and on what ,if quads were my only vice then I would have some megga quads to fly
