Hey,
I am working on my first build, have been Googling the crap out of this issue for weeks now... About to pull my hair out!
I am trying to link up a R-xsr and Mamba F405 Mk2.... Tried using the traditional SBUS route, but no dice... i have upgraded the firmware on my XD9+ 2019 to the latest OpenTX as well as boot loader and updated the internal module.... Updated the Rx to ACCESS Fport latest. Updated the FC as well....
I can get my Tx to bind through ACCESS protocols, and can get my ESC and everything talking to the FC just fine... I CANNOT for the life of me get any throughput from the receiver to the FC.
I got so frustrated I ordered a FrSky OMNINXT Rsxr FC F7... hoping that since they came together they would talk easier... Cant get throughput on those either...... this is where i am starting to get frustrated. I am obviously missing something!! i have tried multiple configurations, have watched just about every video online that even remotely comes close to the topic and finally need to reach out to some real people with some experience greater than mine....
Tx = X9D+ 2019:
FW = OpenTX 2.3.7, same for Bootloader
Internal Module FW = ISRM_S_X9_190812.frk
Receiver 1 = R-XSR (FW = ACCESS/FPort v1.1.4) (have it binding with Tx no problem telemetry received by Tx)
FC 1 = MAMBA F405 Mk2 with latest FW update
Set up: F.Port protocol, No love on SBUS-in pad on FC so soldered S.port wire directly to TX1 on board (GND and 5V accordingly) and yes, hooking up battery power, not trying to power off of USB alone) Verified that i am in fact running the S.Port wire from receiver and not the SBUS out. (I tried setting up as SBUS originally and got the same results, could connect but no throughput)
have tried every combination of serialrx inversion on/off as well as serial halfduplex on/off
Have checked to confirm UART is correct...
Receiver 2 = Rxsr-FC (FW=ACCESS/FPORT v1.1.4) (have it binding with Tx no problem telemetry received by Tx)
FC 2 = OMNINXT F7 also with latest FW update
Set up: F.Port protocol, through S.Port to Tx2 (the ribbon connector was not attached completely from factory so i had to hard wire it in to +/- and S.Port)
Have also tried every combo of serial inversion and half duplex inversion
for both have confirmed serial TX and FPort in configuration, checked the UART assignment a million times.....
made sure protocol was FPort in CLI
There is something I am missing that is not being covered in the hundred videos online.... thought it might have been hardware related, but the new FC and Rx rule that out I get stuck on the same point with them as well...
I can post a dump of either FCs if needed...
I would be greatful for any help... I am just about at my wits end here. and nothing I am finding online is helping.
