I have a company that is looking for a quadcopter. I cannot go into specifics (NDA) but I will tell you the following requirements:
Must maintain airborn for 30 minutes
Must be able to maintain hover flight at 300 feet AGL.
Minimum Max flight speed of 20MPH (9m/s) (the faster the better)
Needs to be GPS enabled (give it lat/long and it flies there)
Needs to have auto-return home functionality so it will return home when told or when battery is low.
- When auto-returns needs to hook up to a quick-charge recharge station (pref full depletion - full charge in < 30 minutes)
Needs GSM functionality (fly from phone/tablet over cell network)
Camera feed needs to go through GSM.
I would not be opposed to a fixed wing UAV if when it reached the GPS cords. it just flew a circle around them (maybe 1/2 a mile away) and focused the camera on the gps cords, but I'm not aware of any fixed wing system that has auto-launch/auto-land functionality onto a charging station.
I understand such copter will be quite expensive, but if someone can at least point me in the right direction to a company/make/model that has something like this that would be great!
