Need Purchasing Advice

Thanks for the opportunity to ask some questions.

I was given a DJI F450 Flame Wheel frame with motors and speed controllers as a gift. I then purchased a FrSky Taranis X7 radio. I'm really overwhelmed by the number of choices when it comes to receivers and flight controllers. I'm very new to all of this. The question you are probably pondering right now is "what do I want to do with it?". Besides just having some fun flying it around I could see myself interested in mounting a gimbal and camera on it.

Here are my questions:

1. Does the receiver and the radio need to be the same brand? If not, are there advantage to having the same brand radio and receiver? Given I have a Taranis X7 radio, what would you recommend I purchase?
2. What flight controller do you recommend for a novice? It seems there are advantages to those that support GPS.
3. Lastly, the only other thing I can think of that I am missing is a battery and charger. Recommendations?

I really appreciate any advice you can offer.

Yes.

Check out the Naze f3 deluxe although there are many other better more expensive options.

A cheap tenergy balance charger and 2200 mah 3s battery can be ordered from Amazon. Good enough for a start.
