I cannot get my quadcopter to lift off, not sure if i need different motors? Need some suggestions, based on my quad build:
  • HobbyKing X650f frame
  • kk2.1 flight controller
  • Q Brain 4 x 25A ESC (modified the wiring to meet the layout of the kk2.1 controller)
  • 4 x NTM Prop Drive 28-26 1000kv/235w motors
  • 4000mAh Floureon 3s Lipo battery
  • Turnigy TGY-i6 controller
  • 4 x 11" carbon fiber propellers (2 CW & 2 CCW)

Initially I built to quad with 4 x turnigy 30A ESC's all powered through a distribution board, but same issue... wouldn't take off.
All propellers are spinning in the correct direction, the kk2.1 flight controller has been flashed, ESC's have been calibrated... But I still can't get it to take off.

All suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You might be a little underpowered for that size quad, but it should still fly. Is it trying to lift, or just staying stuck to the ground?

It is trying to lift... if I gradually accelerate it does not seem to lift at all, but if I throttle 100% it jumps a bit... just won't maintain any flight time.

Thanks for the reply
