OK so a friend of mine crashed his quad and instead of trying to fix it just bought another. Told me if I can get it in the air I can have it. OK so I first visually inspected it inside and out, landing gear slightly bent fixed that, gimbal bent pretty bad and whole thing spazzes out when turned on so I removed it, checked the wiring and inside boards everything seems in good shape. Now the problem, when I turn it on it flashes a slow yellow, which is non GPS mode, and when I enter csc command both sticks down and together, it flashes red 5 times and then back to the slow yellow. Did some research and went through some steps as follows, downloaded software assistance, upgraded firmware, calibrated imu ( both basic and advanced calibration), calibrated TX, and calibrated compass rotating horizontally and vertically. All these steps went smoothly all the parameters are within the range they are suppose to be. However same result on motor start up. If any one has any idea of what I can do your help would be greatly appreciated. Also I already sent out an email to dji, but there customer service , so far, is not the great.

I would guess something is wrong with the naza due to the crash. Kind of funny that it passed every check you gave it though, like IMU cal and compass cal. Don't hold your breath waithing for a reply from DJI. Is there a way you could get your hands on another naza to swap out with just to try it?

Hope it's not the naza. Waiting on a friend to bring me his battery. Seems like red flashes always boils down to battery issues. Maybe the crash messed up the battery. I would just purchase a spare battery to test. However dji is charging $200 for a battery!!! That's crazy!!!!

Yeah thats the problem with the phantom 2. They up graded the battery into a nice module that just plugs in which is an improvement over the phantom 1 but then you dont have a choice but to use that exact battery.
