Need help knowing where to connect wires

Hello everybody. I'm new to this forum. I decided to try to build my dream quadcopter. I bought a Happymodel U580 frame with retractable landing gear and a Jiyi P2 flight controller with GPS. But I can't figure out where the power wires go that come out of the PMU/LED box and the retractable landing gear. Both have small black and red wires with solder on the ends. I can't see anyone connecting them anywhere on YouTube and can't find it in the instructions. Can anyone help me?

I thought about connecting them to the main harness from the battery but am concerned that I might fry the units with 11.1 volts.

Might have to solder them into your 5v system, but I'd need a picture, link, or specs.
 
where did you plug the signal wire into the P2? or did you do it straight into the reciever? I am buildinga copter with retractable hear and I am confused as well.
 
Connect power directly to the battery and signal can go directly to your receiver. Just pick a switch on your transmitter and map accordingly
