Need assistance with binding radio to quad

Hello all. Hopefully this is the correct place to post this.
This is my first quad that I have purchased and I am having some issues with binding it. I am somewhat of a noob when it comes to quads.
Just trying to reach out for some advice on what I might be doing wrong.
I recently purchased a ready to fly quad and I'm having some problems binding it to my radio. The quad has a FrSky R-XSR 2.4GHz 16CH ACCST Micro Receiver w/ S-Bus & CPPM attached to it. It also is using a Lumenier TX5GS 25-200-500mW 5.8GHz FPV Transmitter w/ BFCMS Control (MMCX). I have a Taranis Qx7 and I have an FrSky R9M Long Range transmitter on the back of it. I believe that the transmitter might be the issue.

Any feedback is welcome. I'm at a total standstill. Thanks :)

Where exactly are you stuck? General procedure is hold bind button on receiver, plug in power, transmitter is flashing to indicate waiting for binding, go into transmitter menu and select model then in setup page choose radio protocol and select bind option, wait for light on receiver to go solid (usually a few seconds).

I am holding the bind button on receiver, then I plug in the power and the light is solid red. On my radio, I am in the model setup page on the correct protocol and the light is still a solid red on receiver. I feel like I am doing everything correct, but still can't get it to bind. I'm trying to be as detailed as possible.

I think the issue may be with the R9M not being compatible with the receiver? This is my guess.

It could be that the protocol between transmitter and receiver just isn't right usually will be some different light pattern (flashing or pulsing) when in binding mode and goes solid after binding but I'm most familiar with the auto binding ones from spektrum, definitely worth checking the protocol on both transmitter and receiver. Recently switched to jumper T16 since it has a 4 in 1 radio module can talk dsm/DSMX for spektrum stuff or frsky or a couple other common protocols.

I know there's been some talk recently of FrSky making stuff no longer backwards compatible with I think their ACCESS protocol but probably worth checking out, maybe related to your issue.

Had the same issue.
You should bind to the internal module.

My issue was that the radio is FCC (International)
And the receiver is EU (LBT)

You can bind the receiver, but it is showing constant red light.

Flash the receiver or the transmitter in your radio (XJT version) so that they match.

Here is more info:
