Nearly lost my quad...

So I learned avaluable lesson - if I fly late in the day, the sun sets on our side of the valley while the other side is still lit up, so the quad gets silhouetted against the hills and sky, making it very easy to lose orientation when line-of-sight flying.

This was just a normal flight, camera was on but I wasn't particularly trying to film anything - it all starts to go a bit pear-shaped about halfway through, nearly ending in an uncontrolled fly-away and lost somewhere on a hillside...

I've since got a couple of ultra-bright led's to put on as headlights.

I got a NiHui solely for night flying, lights up nice.
my Syma lights are iffy so I try to stay in the daylight.
glad you saved your unit.
