Nazgul 5 and radiolink r9ds compatibility

New to quadcopters. I have a radiolink AT9S radio and I am attempting to connect a radiolink r9ds to a nazgul5 (FC is a iflight succex-e). Are these compatible?

The R9DS is wired in as shown in the nazgul paperwork for SBUS, and I see the receiver indicator sliders moving in betaflight, but they are not responding to my controller inputs properly (random values that change, but dont match my physical input).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
Randomly change as in true random or just wrong stick moves the wrong slider value? You may see one channel jumping around somewhat randomly that will be the RSSI channel but if 4 move with stick input then in pretty good shape.
 
Also double check your receiver protocol selection on the configuration tab in betaflight or try a few others and save see if works any better usually it's all or nothing from my limited experience though with regard to protocol selection and receiver hook up... Also maybe dumb question but how sure are you the radio is bound to the receiver?
