I've read and seen in several videos that many guys put a piece of open-cell foam under their FC like Naze and others for more accurate barometric sensing. I don't know if this assertion is based on any factual information, or just basic tribal knowledge that has been passed down for better performance of the sensor. With a self-contained and enclosed unit like the DJI NAZA, is it as important to mount it on foam or simply use the 3M sticky tabs and secure it to the copter frame? I know the foam may be useful from a vibration standpoint, but does it truly affect performance?
