My review:
This is the 1st time I am playing with a RC quadcopter so I have no experience in flying a quadcopter before. The quadcopter arrived in a box and it is protected with a plastic casing inside.
Design:
The RC quadcopter is very mini in size. Measuring only 8.9*8.9*2.9cm, it is extremely tiny and also very light. This makes the quadcopter very portable and easy to carry around. The contrasting orange and black colour scheme used makes the quadcopter looks visually attractive.
Technology and system:
Full proportion 4 channel 2.4G radio system enables interference free operation. You can fly the quadcopter indoor and outdoor without interference.
Built-in 6 axis GYRO system helps flying stable, smooth and easy control Flying this quadcopter is easy and the flying is stable. It is Ideal for beginners like me to start off learning to fly RC quadcopters.
Power supply:
3.7V 150mAh Lipo battery provides sufficient power for the UDI U839 RC quadcopter. The battery is charged by usb and require about 40minutes to charge fully. After being fully charged, this quadcopter can fly about 6-10 minutes with a signal range of approximately 30metres.
Flight:
This quadcopter can do various actions and movements during the flight.It can fly up and down, left and right, forward and backward. It can hover ,flip left and right and even rotate 360 degrees. This quadcopter also has beautiful led lights at the front making it look very beautiful. There are also rubber pods at the bottom for the quadcopter to rest on before takeoff and during landing.
Protection:
This quadcopter has a specially designed protective hull to protect this quadcopter from damages. This hull design fits the quadcopter perfectly and doesn’t weigh a lot hence keep the weight of the quadcopter very low. With the assistance of this protective hull, the quadcopter is able to withstand damages from crashing into walls and trees(THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED). Although it is still advisable to try it as you do not want to risk damaging your quadcopter.
Conclusion:
The UDI U839 is an ideal RC quadcopter for everyone especially beginners. Being extremely small and light, it is portable and easy to carry around. The hull protects the quadcopter well. Flight performance is very good and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for RC quadcopter.

I have a (larger) UDI 816a. It sounds like your smaller quad is more stable than mine, and I'm happy for you. (mine DOES NOT hover!) I still recommend new flyers get something even larger with altitude hold, since the principle learning task is head-in flight and coordinated (3-axis) turns and that's unnecessarily difficult if you're constantly struggling with the throttle.

The problem with small quads is that they have very little mass. That combined with a small battery makes the uneven current cause throttle shifts you have to compensate for. Larger quads with more lipo cells have more stable power, and more mass to dampen instability.

My flying skills as I went along. Great starting level with a good supply of
Cheap spares.

Hi guys micro quads have the place , they are good for indoor flying winter time , also are great to help new fliers get started, due to there low mass they do less damage to them and other items they hit , i have had the hubsan x4 for 2 years now still flys well my wife is learning to fly it now getting ready for the Phantom i am buying her , i would recommend a micro to any one just starting or who want to fly around the house when the weather is bad
