Here's where we do most of our flying. My parents have some property in Northen California. It's nice and flat without many trees or obstructions.

 
Lol, you weren’t kidding about flat. I live in Southern Ohio touching Kentucky, it is all hills here. Looks perfect for flying, as if you crash you won't loose your equipment
 
HI GJH105775, if you worried about loosing the quad fit a small loctor to it , you buy them as a kit so its a small receiver that goes in your pocket , then how many senders you want they have a battery life of 6 months i think ,but any way if you crash just turn on receiver and it will lead you back to the quad works for a fair range too

Sounds very promising, where can you buy one of these?
 
Thanks, for the cheaper non-GPS version you can locate up to 400ft. If you don't know within 400ft of where your item is you probably won't find it :).
