Hi guys, I am new to FPV drones and learning how to fly and control a drone now. FPV stands for first-person view, and in the past, I thought FPV was only a word of the game type. However, it changed my mind. FPV drone brought me a pilot's view, which is very real like flying a plane in the air when my friend, who has enjoyed RC hobby for many years, put goggles on my head. I decided to join it at that time.
The FPV drone includes a drone, a radio transmitter, a pair of goggles and etc, which are not so economical. I don't think those FPV drones with a price over $1000 are a choice for a beginner. My first FPV drone was Cetus Pro FPV Kit It cost me about $230 including the shipping fee and they offered me a 5% discount coupon because I was a new register. The product was shipped from CN if you buy on their website. It seemed that the shipping was fast. I bought it on 1st March and received it on 14th March. BTW, I live in CA, US.
Before I started to fly the drone, I read the manual in the package and download the FPV Simulator for learning the BETAFPV Cetus Pro drone. I was gradually familiar with the control and the way how to fly under N mode. It is very easy for a new beginner. My points about the Cetus Pro drone are here.
Pros
-3 Flight Modes. N mode is suitable for beginners. You can try S mode if you are skilled in it. Mode is designed for those who have a lot of experience.
-Altitude Hold. It's funny and the drone keeps its position without any action from the controller.
-Turtle Mode, No Burden to Fly Away. When the quadcopter falls to the ground and upside down, I can active turtle mode by LiteRadio2 SE transmitter to flip it over and resume flying. With this function, there is no need to walk away to correct the position manually.
-FPV Simulator Supported. LiteRadio2 SE radio transmitter can be used as a USB Joystick when connected to the computer. So it's available to play FPV simulators.
Cons
-The battery for me does not last long and the flight time is about 5 mins. Now I ordered more batteries and a charger to get more flight time.
-The drone is not having all the direct replacement parts available to purchase.
-The weight is light. It is difficult to keep the position when facing the wind outside. If you play inside, there is no problem.
In a word, I think Cetus Pro will be a great choice for beginners. And it is an affordable FPV drone for many people.
