A few years ago I tried to fly fpv and failed miserably. I crashed one to pieces and lost another one to nether land. And I quit. Conceding that at my senior years, my reflex and hands-eyes-coordination are no longer reliable.
3 months ago, I came across an info about a Cetus drone equipped with optical flow feature.
I went online and checked it out. I ended up buying the Cetus FPV Kit. US$159.99 plus shipping and taxes (US$166.99). C$235.37 to me in Canada.
It comes with a controller, a goggle and 2 batteries and a carrying case. Very nicely made.
It does have optical flow. It stayed quite steady in mid air. I tried to fly it with the goggle on and I succeeded. Only a few trials of forwards, backwards and sideways. Baby steps, but at least I did not crash it.
So, I went ahead and bought 8 more batteries and I'll spend some time learning to fly fpv.
The only thing that worries me is my bank account.
