Little video of my hubsan x4 & Crash

Hubsan x4 Flight Test & Crash

Just a little mess around flying in the local residential park. Very windy weather conditions hence the severe camera shake. Crash Landed from many feet up the durability of these things amazes me! Only bent two of the plastic props!

Hi mate the hubsan does will in the wind for its size , treat it well tho mate hard landings damage the motors and its then a soldering job, and if you manage to rip the wires off the motor it can damage the board so thens its a new quad

Cheers neil for the feedback its much appreciated! i spent a few pound the other day on a few spurs motors props etc! what would you reccomend for my first hobby grade quadcopter? and are the full size ones easier to fly? cheers and once again appreciate all the feedback

HI mate most go for the nano qx its fast will fly the blades off a lot of the other ones , depends what you want a quad to do acro quads do hot dogging with is 3d that a heli would do frames are very light a really good small frame is about £130 thats just a frame, then there is FPV or a camera platform like the dji phantom , once you can fly well and know what you want a quad for then we can sort it just to learn to fly the blade nano qx RTF or buy a good spektrum transmitter and that will stay with you through the hobby as you build your own quads

I'd like to go down the fpv route how are they to fly via the screen on the pad or an external screen? Many thanks once again for all the help and feedback. Sean

Hi mate fpv is ok on a screen as long as the sun is not on it , base station may be better but what range are you looking for as signal boosters may be needed, also your want to transmitter on 5.8g or another just keep 2.4g for flying

Isn't the Blade Nano just the equivalent to the Hubsan he already has? I think you want something other than the Nano next. I use the Hubsan to chase the sand pipers in my neighborhood. They do that diversion act trying to get you away from their young chicks running around, pretending to have a broken wing and then leading you away before flying a circle back to their chicks. They do it to me when I'm walking across my second acre all the time, and I thought it might be fun to try and follow them with the quad. It's quite entertaining. Too bad I've never ventured to figure out the video capability. I would have some fun videos =}.

hi mate ,sorry been really busy with new job the blade nano will fly the pants of the hubsan , its faster and much harder to fly well, its as hard as a CP helicopter , this is why they use them to learn cp on
