Liftoff game diff from rate?

I have downloaded liftoff and have been able to learn to fly relatively well in accro mode.

But when I turn on my nighthawk pro with taranis controller and switch to accro or rate (3rd option, switch all the way down) the quad will immediately tilt hard and the quad does not perform like the program does.
Is liftoff not the flight simulator like I thought it to be?
Or is there perhaps something wrong with my quad?

need to check taranis channels all correct, flick to your channel page on taranis and switch your mode switch in all 3 positions and see if any channels move when switch is moved.

if no movement on roll channel is present, then its probably the flight controller set up..

does it fly ok in stabilise mode ?

Hi I second what the guys said sounds like transmitter set up wrong in flight mode
