Left Top Motor not spinning in Cleanflight (Naze32 FC)

Hello,

This is my first quad build and I've been trying various things to get my quad running. However, this is one thing I can't figure out.

I have 3 motors powered via 10A ESC (Left Botton, Top Right, Botton Right).
I have 1 motor powered via 10A ESC with BEC (Top Left).

Yesterday, I tested my motors via clean flight and they all seem to spin except the Top Left motor.

1. My 4th ESC is connected to 4th port on the Naze32 FC. (When I tried to power my RX with 5v output from ESC, it worked). So, I'm assuming there is no problem with the ESC.
2. My Rx is powered from the 9 pin on the FC.

Is this an efficient layout ?
If so, any reason as to why my 4th motor wouldn't spin ?

Thank you all for your help in advance.

Motor 4, has it been flashed the same as all the others with same firmware.
Reflow the solder join on them pins.
The esc can be broke but still output 5v from the bec. What Tx have you got?
& is cleanflight receiving input from the sticks in receiver tab?

Thank you for your response.
I kind of did some research yesterday on why it wont work.
This ESC needs to be programmed (comes with Linear BEC). When I turn my ESC on I hear Beep Beep every 2 seconds continously.
I've tried all things suggested online about moving the throttle stick up and starting the TX until I hear different noises to enter program mode but all I hear is just beep beep beep and motor keeps twitching meaning its getting power....(I'm not entering program mode and my ESC is not recognizing my throttle I believe). I've followed the troubleshooting instructions provided by my manufacturer but to no avail.

I am beginning to wonder if my connections are right.

To answer your questions,
1. All my other 3 motors were straightforward ESCs.
2. My TX is Flysky FS-i6 2.4GHz 6 Channel
3. I think cleanflight is receiving input from my RX, was able to arm my quad and run the other 3 motors using my TX/RX after testing it thru cleanflight first.

Sound like a dud esc. It does happen. I had 3 out of 4 that where duds. Don't buy clones if you can help it. Always buy an extra. Have you tried putting say motor & esc 1 that you know work on the pin 4 to see if it the board was damaged @ soldering. I killed a couple of naze32 like that. All motors & esc worked on all pins except for N°2 set. So I decided to buy a smaller iron. Never had that problem again. Now I just direct solder everything unless it's a customer who wants pins.

I am beginning to wonder if my connections are right.

Do like Moz says and move some parts around. THAT'S about the best way to test out where the fault is.
For example does that inop motor work on another arm? If so, then the ESC is suspect, and then if you swap that ESC onto another arm and it starts working,
then the FC could be fried. Also, I generally try to keep all my ESCs the same and pull any BEC requirements off a PDB anyway.

Yep, I did switch my ESC's & Motors around. Figured it wasn't neither the ESC nor the Motor.
So, earlier I've been controlling my RX in PPM Mode (as you can see in the above picture).

Yesterday, I changed to PWM Mode & plugged in the ESC directly to Channel 4. Now, My ESC with BEC was able to recognize my Throttle signal and was able to program it. My Motor SPUN (I was able to turn the brake OFF). However, I when I switched back to my original configuration (PPM Mode), the 4th motor didn't work.

I didn't have time to play around more last night. Will update you guys if I can't get them all spinning at the same time.
A positive to take out is all the parts are functioning (not at the same time though) :(

If I can't figure out what the connection is, I'll try to pull the 5v from PDB and replace it with a ESC w/o BEC (atleast on my first build).

Thank you guys!

I'm going to tell you what RENOV8R told me over a year ago. Do a board reset on the first tab, next to gyro reset.
My quad was flipping on take off.
Everyone saying my esc's on wrong pins. This n that. Then a week later he said do a board reset. It worked

I figured out what I was doing wrong.
I changed my motor protocol to PMW (previously it was oneshot125) and everything works now.

The only issue is that the left top motor spins out of sync (It starts spinning at 1190 throttle) whereas the other 3 motors start at min throttle. I think the left top ESC wont calibrate and sync with the other ESC's as its the only unique ESC (has a built in BEC).

I tried connecting to BLHeli suite to passthru Cleanflight but I get an error that says "Please check cleanflight revision for support of serial 1 passthrough or 4 away interface"

Cleanflight version I'm using is 2.1.0. Not sure what the issue is now

You can't mix esc, they have to be all same make, amperage & firmware. Has the pdb not got a 5v&12v bec. I know this 1st hand. Still a noob really, but 2years ago I bust an esc & started on opto's. Only to find the fcb only likes to talk one language @ a time, you could say.

yep. I think you are right. I did flash an old version of cleanflight and accessed the BLHeli Suite. All the 3 Opto ESC's were detected (Turnigy MultiStar 30A BLHeli-S Rev16 V3 ESC 2~4S (Opto)
except this unique one (TURNIGY Plush 10amp Speed Controller w/BEC).
So this ESC spins a little out of sync with the other ESC's.

I'll follow your suggestion. Replace the 4th one with an identical ESC and power my flight controller from PDB 5v output.

But finally yesterday, I did get my quad to fly but keeps drifting towards the right which I need to fix. ;);)

Check a props not bent before a gyro reset, But if it's spinning on that esc & motor then yep get a new one & grab a spare while your @ it:)

Anytime dude, glad to help ;)
Stuff can be hard to explain sometimes. Especially the abbreviations Get ppl but I learned so I stick with it. Now get good before winter comes. o_O
