KK board dead?

Hey, I recently plugged the transmitter's cables in the opposite way. That means I put - where the signal should go.. I saw a bit of smoke and a smell of soldering tin. I think I may have fried something but after closer inspection I can't see any damage. When I plug the board in it lights up but doesn't beep or give me the home screen, just blank. Think it is repareable? I saw a lot of tin missing at one connection of the boards display and I will try fixing that.

Is this the KK2.1.5 V1-V3 >
I have a KK2.1.5 V1 and it has had the Tx and Rx cables in backwards many times, look for damage on the board, and post pictures.

Hi William servo leads even if you plug in back to front should not damage any thing the red wire is in the middle of the plug , so it will always be on the middle pin , so if the earth goes on the signal the KK will just not work , so its very strange how you got smoke , you must power the KK through a BEC or an ESC with a built in BEC no more than 6 volts , this power comes form motor 1 ESC only so plug the ESC into motor one pins
it has been known for the LCD to blow ,hobby king does do replacement screens
Have you get the flash tool if you have reflash with steveis1.8s1pro and see if that helps you may have wiped the flash chip

Do anyone know where the KK board's speaker is? I don't get a beep when I plug it in. If the speaker is connected to the display it would make sense the display is blown.

Flip the board over, does it say V2 or V3? If it has blach soldermask and says V3 it is a newer design, the hardware is a little different, but the software side is the same.

The speaker may need to be set up for sound I use mine for low voltage cut off. Yes motor 1 provideds the power to kk2.
I'm running the older board 2.0 and I like it good.
I use nylon srews because metal ones can short out the board if they have a large head
