JXD 509G

Hello everyone. New to the forum & new to the hobby. Decided on a cheap Chinese knock off drone to get the practice I need before proceeding to the real deal in the future. I spent 2 weeks doing detailed research & finally decided on a JXD 509G. I think it's perfect to start with. After reading reviews on all these quads, i already purchased 2 spare batteries & a clover Antena for the display. I will be modifying the camera support with foam to fix the jello & i will also be modifying the camera angle.

There's one modification I'd love to do assuming anyone here can guide me in the right direction.
Can I upgrade my camera to something better? Even if I have to cut & join some wires, I'm ok with that. I just want to know if I could upgrade from 2.0mp to something of better quality. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks JXD-509G-Pioneer-UFO-FPV-drone.jpg_350x350.jpg

hey i had this quad for my first quad it was great fun and really enjoyed it but i wouldn't recommend wasting any time modding it its just not worth it. if youve already bought a cloverleaf antenna I'd put it in a safe place till you buy a FPV quad.
having said that you could upgrade the camera by simply cutting the 3 wires and reconnecting it to a 800tvl camera but youd then also have to add a 5.8ghz transmitter and i dont know if the 3.7v battery on the 509g would power it. and youd still have jello without heavily modding the camera mount.
for about £130 on amazon you can get a good started FPV racing quadcopter all you need is a camera and i managed to take the camera off my (broken) 509g and use that with its screen to get me started
