Hi
Have been looking at quads. for a while and decided to buy a coupe for my birthday. Ordered an Eachine e010 from Banggood received yesterday and extra batteries not recieved. (2) Syma x5HC-1 from Gearbest. With extra batteries from Xsource via amazon.

I have never flown RC before so the e010 has been a challenge wish I had the extra batteries. Can not fly out doors as I live in Canada (southeastern Ontario).
Will try to let you know of my progress!

Thanks for listening

Welcome Donkey!! i wish i would have started small as you are.. ive been playing video games my whole life, so i had this mentality i could muscle through the learning curve of the sticks.. i was wrong lol. During the 2nd flight, i put my Falcon 250 into a chain link fence( it got stuck) and burned out the PDB and flight controller.. currently awaiting replacement parts :( i have sense ordered the same e010 as you for practice, it just arrived today!

I never played video games because I think they were useless and cost a lot of money. Just like Smart Phone they are a waste of money. Cell phone are meant to talk on only. That why my cell phone is a flip phone and I have had it for 5+ years and same battery and I only talk on it.

Thats too bad.. i couldnt imagine life without a smartphone.. ive had one since Samsung released the galaxy lol.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of folks (including me) learning here. I would suggest starting with basics. Learn to hover first. Everyone who thinks he is going t bind his first quad and punch holes in the sky is about to spend a lot of money replacing things. Keep the quad facing away from you and master those movements first. Good luck, and have fun doing it!

Welcome! e010 is a challenge with that small transmitter! Some people make some pieces to make the sticks taller. Otherwise, there are some transmitter modules for full size RC transmitters that will fly it. Either way, don't just how well you fly based on the e010 w/ stock transmitter. Definitely don't let it discourage you. It takes some getting used to.

... Welcome aboard Donkeyman ! ... Like Mike said, don't get discouraged learning on the Eo1o ... After you've gotten use to it (and you're no longer bashing into stuff constantly) you're going to really like the Syma ;)

The X5 series are a lot of fun and a good, cheap, durable learning quad as well. With camera, landing gear, and prop guards off they're quick enough to have a lot of fun with.

Thank you all for the response.
I had a little mishap with my Echine 010 first I had to change a prop. after changing it
I could not get it to lift then I had a battery problem the red wire pulled out of the terminal tried too fix it and kinda destroyed it. Have been waiting for extra batt. which finally came today have them charged and ready to go. Tried to get lift off but still will only stay on the floor and spin around.
What am I doing wrong any help would be appreciated .

I have also received my Syma x5HC to windy here right now to even try to fly.

Don't worry too much about destroying that battery's connector because you can buy those for peanuts and still fix it.

By "the correct prop" I meant as far as which direction it supposed to spin, but jmdlcar brings up a good point ... You don't want to mix props
on the quad (3 stock + 1 aftermarket for example) if you're replacing any stock props (with other than stock) you want to do it on all four at the
same time
