It sounds like you arent properly binding the radio to the quad.
1.)Turn on the quad first and place it down on a level surface.
2.) Next, turn on your radio and you should hear a series of beeps and /or a series of flashing lights..Some models you have to move the throttle stick all the way up then back down to actually bind to the quad.
Be sure your battery is fully charged as well.
Try this and report back what happens.
