Issues with R9DS/R6DS receiver + AT9 with my first build

Hey everyone, so my first build has the following:
Eachine BG1306-3100KV motors
Makerfire 12A BLHeli Oneshot125 ESCs
Matek micro PDB with BEC 5V/12V
SPracingF3 flight controller with cleanflight

I was originally using a micro flight controller which is why I have the PDB already hooked up. My issue is with the receiver. I am not able to get power to either of my R9DS or R6DS. At one point I did get power to the R9DS with some sort of configuration, but after unplugging something it hasn't been able to turn on again. I have tried PWM and SBUS with the R9DS and PPM, SBUS, and PWM with the R6DS but nothing has come of it. What should my setups look like for either of these configurations? How do you properly bind the receiver and AT9 controller? Does the red light come on automatically if its plugged up properly via PWM, SBUS, or PPM?
Also, how do you properly power a flight controller board when your ESCs do not have a BEC?

I am still very new to all of this, so let me know if you need anymore information from me.

Figured everything out! Now I will have to figure out the camera once I get the mount in.

Couple more updated pictures. I toasted one of the fc's I had, and I'm not entirely sure how. Either way I had an extra, cleaned some stuff up, and mounted the camera. I've also been running the battery on bottom for now. This little beast definitely has some power even with a 2s battery.
