Issue Calibrating ESC (Cleanflight)

Drones are cool

New Member
Hello All!
I'm working on my new build, got new ESC(HiTec 18A, oneshot 6000Hz)s and Motors(EMAXRS2205), FC(DYSF4).

My issue is with calibrating my ESCs,
I'm following the steps in this video
After toggling the props are off I am unable to drag the master slider switch up, it just wont move?.
Has this happened to anyone else, what could be causing this?
Also I'm not sure whether my ESC motor protocol is oneshot125 or oneshot42?

Thank you for assisting! Greatly appreciated :)

I use a NAZE32 Rev 6 for calibrating my ESC's and I have to take the little RED wire out of the connectors to make it work properly. I don't know if this will help you or not.

In the motor tab which has the master slider, did you enable motor test with the slider on the right side that says I accept the risk......

Tick box put master up, plug in lipo,
Slide master down, untick box, unplug lipo. Have you got a multi meter?
Where are you getting the 5v for the fcb.

Eventually got the slider to move, the only thing i did was unplug it a few times and plugged it back in and it worked, could have a bad version of CF possibly. Got my drone hovering then it spazzed out mid air and smashed up my carbon frame. Will probably try some new ESCs.

Thank you for the help all I really appreciate it.

Find some long grass, well not too long you can't find the quad but enough for a cushion of say 50' which is about as high as a learner needs to go. Hell 10' is enough. I learned this early on, in fact I don't fly over any concrete or hard ground.

"it spazzed out" sound like you let up off the throttle & it dipped then you tried to correct by applying throttle & you lost it.
Or very bad case of prop wash.
Did it go out of range & failsafe kicked in.
Quads don't just spaz out, without any input.
