I Wanna Build a Quadcopter

So I have flown things in the past such as the "stocking stuffer" type of cheap quadcopters and such. Hated them so much, fun at first and then you break a part and you cant find replacements. So I did a bunch of research and found that bang for buck I liked the Hubsan x4. Got it and I love it so much, going to buy a second one with a camera soon just to play with. So here is the real question. I want to upgrade to something once Im ready that can do nice areal photography as well as have fpv capabilities. I also have looked at the DJI Phantom 2 and love the features it offers. But I do not want to spent the $1500 on the vision +. So keeping in mind I want a easy flyer with great stability, and preferably pre-programable flight paths and a "return home" safe feature would be awesome. So in a professionals opinion how much would I look at spending. Looks mean nothing to me. Functionality and durability do.

What's your budget maybe the point. why not build one? there're many posts to guide, I'm preparing now I also do not want to spent much money on phantom

Hi mate build your own quad is cheaper in the long run , but when you start to add things like GPS , return home ,course hold , position lock, FPV , the cost starts to go up , the Phantom is a leader with a 25 min flight time all the functions , they are easy to fly , you dont have to have the phantom they do a flame wheel too but if it has the DJI badge its not cheap a clone frame is about £9 from hobby king , but the FCB naza m v2 with GPS, its about £150 on its own and this is what does all the work , here is a little video of how good the phantom return home is

Hobby king and others have rtf quad packages that are less than a phantom 2. It would be an upgrade from the small quads an put you in the 350 class size quad. There's 2 or 3 out there that get decent reviews.

Thats true , but they wont have all the extras like return home , GPS , fpv , but as i said your need to pay more for this which in the end will put you in Phantom range

Yep. You can pick up a flamewheel 450 kit with the Naza M lite with GPS for around $350. It will include motors and ESC's too. Then all you need is some batteries and a charger and of course a radio.
