Hi all,
I'm now in possession of a quadcopter, thanks to my lovely girlfriend and Santa. I've caught the bug and I'm already thinking of how to improve both my flying skills and the drone, so hopefully I'm in the right place!
The drone in question is a MJX Bugs 3. I've read it's probably not the best drone for a beginner seeing it doesn't have fancy features like altitude hold, headless mode, one button launch/land, or return to home but I'm up for the challenge!
Until two days ago, I'd never flown a quad previously. The only aerial RC experience I had was a budget RC helicopter I'd bought my little brother about 10 years ago. So right now I'm still struggling to maintain level flight and barely moving more than a foot off the ground Practice and patience I guess will help.
The other challenge I have is finding a place in Sydney to fly. I live in the city and there are strict CASA regulations on flying near helipads. So far my flying has been restricted to inside use.
Happy to meet you all,
Caino
