Just to let some of you guys know i placed an order from hobbyking last week and i understood i was ordering from the uk as id already spoken to someone on hobbyking chat as i was trying to make sure it was within the EU to avoid excessive import taxes to Ireland - Well ive just recieved an email from scs international to say my items had just cleared customs and i was now liable for another €89 charge on top of what i had paid as they shipped it from Hong Kong instead - im new to hobbyking so chances are i made a slip up on the order and didnt notice it was to be shipped from hong kong but its a little excessive as its half the price of what my items came to and courier costs were another £65 on top lot of money for what i got - OUCH :(
 
OMG mate thats a lot ,when you go on Hobby king click on UK warehouse then when the order is ready and you pay postage they should be first one as 24hrs royal mail, then it will come from uk ware house , i would check order and play my hand and see if they will give you some credit points back
 
Shipping Costs from the China warehouse has killed more than one transaction for me from hobby king. It sucks because they really do have a great selection and good prices. I always try to get my stuff domestically when I can.
 
Yes Gear best literally held my order ransom till i gave them a all 5 star rating then agreed to ship my package. when i had complained to them about shipping cost and gave them low scores they refused to ship my product and then told me it would be 7 days to get my money back. If i were any of you guys id steer clear of gear best no matter how cheap the prices are.
 
Thats not funny at all , I didn't realize how good we have the shipping rates here in the USA.

I'd try my best to get some money back,, newbie or not.
 
I made a complaint to hobbyking and was told id receive a free gift with my next order no idea what but at least they made an effort
 
Hi I always get credit points from hobby king then they are there to be used at any time , I also had a good after sales from banggood them selves
I got a hubsan quad off them and it worked for 5 mins , so they sent a replacement which came in 7 days , Why did the first one take 3 weeks oh well they are not bad really
 
Ouch, it really is a shame that their shipping and customer service are terrible. They have the best selection on most things.
