help with hubsan x4

Hello, just received my hubsan x4 107c. This has been my experience so far. I turn on the transmitter and sync with the x4. I slowly push up the right stick. The x4 goes up about 3 feet very quickly and then veers to the right at a great speed crashing into the wall which is 7 feet away from it. This happens every time no matter how slow I move the right stick forward. Not sure what is the problem.
I am confused about what they call mode 1 and mode 2. I figured that mode 1 meant normal and mode 2 meant expert. I was expecting the x4 to move slowly up when I push the right stick (throttle/aileron stick) forward. I am not touching the left stick as I am doing this. I tried going to the www.hubsan.com but it doesn't load. Sorry to write so much. But another confusing part is that the manual says that in mode 1 the left stick is the elevator stick which would seem to imply that that stick is the one to move the x4 up in the air, but on page 12 it says that the throttle increases the flying height. I am a complete novice and was trying to learn something that I could share with my grandkids. What could I be doing wrong? (I bought the one with the HD camera)

Hi mate can you tell me if you have the mode 2 transmitter which is left stick throttle and rudder ,right stick cyclic

Hi mate here is the manual look at recalibrate sticks , when you power up the quad leave it level and still for 5 seconds , it should take off with no problems , check there is no fluff stuck between motors and props , mode 1 beginner mode , press throttle stick the red light will flash and your now in mode 2 expert, Dont get confused between mode 1 and mode 2 on the transmitter , you need to fly on mode 2 transmitter look at message above

Sorry to be so late in replying, I have been under the weather. Thanks for the reply. I am trying to learn to fly in mode 1. Which should mean that the right joystick is the one that you push forward to make the x4 rise in the air. And the left joystick should be the one that makes it move forward and back, left and right. Is that correct? Also, one thing that I may be doing wrong trying to fly in indoors is that I have it sitting on carpet. Not sure if that is one of the problems. The last time I tried it, even after pushing both joysticks forward, it just sit there. When I
get to feeling better, I will give it a try. My stepson is coming over for Christmas so maybe he can help. Thanks for the reply and the link.

Hi mate your better off to learn mode 2 on the sticks ,left stick throttle and rudder, right stick is cyclic, there are very few that fly mode 1 now days
Its confusing as they call flight modes 1 and 2 "mode 1 and mode 2" which really is beginner and expert mode

Hello, I'm new here and Im having the same problems as wayne with my x4. One side of the the quad is undeniably underpowered. It will not hover, it will only lift and crash to the same side every time. I have calibrated and calibrated. I have even tried to reset the gyro with the quad propped in one direction. Can anyone help me solve this issue?

Hi mate sounds like the corless motors have gone bad , normal they dont last long and hard knocks can kill them

Unfortunate. The quad was sold brand new to me in this condition. Since this is my first quad and I am going to return it to the seller, would you replace it with the same model, or would you recommend a different model.
