Hello
I need some help setting up gimbals servos on a zerouav ys-x6 flight controller.
The gimbals use an external IMU (brain).
I have 1 servo cable coming from both servos , I'm using sc1258tg servos.
How would I provide power to the servo and also have the servo plugged into the flight controller also if I only have 1 cable from servo.
*from ys-x6 manual*
8. The Gimbal Servo can be supplied power from output of any ESC, but when ESC has no BEC output, please add extra power not use the power supplied from Autopilot.
My escs are plugged into the autopilot and don't have any bec's to use I don't think.
The sc1258tg uses 5 to 6.5v Im sure, do I use a 2nd external battery and split the gimbal cable so I have a lead going into the autopilot and other battery's regulator or bec.
Or if I use a r7008sb receiver do I plug the 2nd battery into this and also both the gimbals servos, but if I do this the servo won't use the IMU plugged into the autopilot flight controller, or will it.
I'm totally stumped and as the ys-x6 is older equipment the current support is non existent anywhere I've looked.
I just want the gimbal to power on like it should, but so far I have no idea how to power it, and also have it plugged into the flight controller, but not power it via the flight controllers power, and I only have 1 servo cable from each sc1258tg to play with.
Do I add a secondary power source to the ys-x6 and just plug it all into that?
God my head has been hurting for a year trying to figure this simple thing out.
Any help is appreciated , I've been trawling websites and YouTube, yet still, here I am , crying for help on a forum now.
Thanks folks
