2 part question: what is the big difference between a regular lipo and a graphene lipo, and are they really that much better than regular lipos?
 
I have 2 Turnigy Graphine 4S / 1300mah / 45C, run them in a ZMR quad with 30A ESC's & BL_Heli RaceStar 2205 Motors, the only thing I notice in difference is there is much less heat on the battery after a 3 minute hard run.

They are supposed to endure many more charge cycles throughout their life span. Some say from 600-900 cycles, remains to be seen.
 
No voltage sag upto now. I bought 9 of them. One has failed. I just went to charge one up & cell 1 was at 2.57 & stays there while the rest goes up. Probably shouldn't use it but I still get 4minutes out of it.
They don't last any longer than normal batteries. You just get constant power as in punch out after punch out rather than degrading after each one. When they die they die quick. Normally you can feel that loss of power where you know it's dying.
So with most you can stop your manoeuvre bring to half throttle & let it fall slowly. With these you got a few seconds before it turns into a brick. Keep meaning to get an osd but Im getting good @judging it now.
ZOP batteries have got to be the worst.
The tattu 4s 1300 are OK after abt 40 cycles upto now. I did buy a nano tech 4s 850mah to try on a 220 tweaker with no fpv kit. Just a line of sight quad for a friend. Damn was that fast, the whole thing with battery weighed 360g. With 3min flight time doing some acro. That's good for a 850mah
In 2 seconds @ full throttle you couldn't see the thing. So I'm investing in some more & some higher KV motors & see what's cooking.
 
Quito, nice to know, I am ticking away at the cycles on the Graphine's only at 11 cycles right now, running a ZMR 250 / BL_Heli 2300KV / 4s some Turnigy 1800mah 65C (really like them) and I can't fly 55 as well;)

You not find 1800 too big, are you a racer? What props sure you using 5" or 6".
It's a shame they don't make all the different 5"tri blades for the 6". All I could find was regular 6"tri-blade. But 5" Dal cyclones have more zip. 18 months I'm still getting there myself. I need a better pc before I start making any vids. The patato I got now can't even run a simulator. I only use it solely for cleanflight & s bit of music while I tinker.
 
You noticed that heh;), take note of the LED on the front, used a headlight from a Walkera 250 runner, it great to have flying LOS, damn thing can be 1500 ft away and you can easily know which end is which, minimal draw on battery as well, waiting on parts for a new Martian build, gonna try to do the same thing, we'll see once I get the frame. Waiting on Amazon to finalize their express drone delivery from ShezWen China!!:cool: Damn I could walk the things back quicker than shipping.

I use the Tattu 4s 1300mah 75c, although I'm thinking about ordering a few Of the Lumineir 4s 1300 80c. Also want to try the Tattu R-line 4s, I've heard good things about both.

Nah..I don't race at all. I'm still learning, although I'm doing much better than I originally did. But the freestyle is more my cup of tea. I thought the same thing about the r-line, too pricey. Now I know they're not worth spending the extra money without having to buy some and waste my money. Thanks for the heads up
