If it ain't broke, don't fix it??? You kidding?
Well let's see, where to start. How about from the ground up.
Landing gear. The original was a "T", CF system. Couple of hard landings and had to replace the "T" joint not once but twice. The second time, I decided to upgrade. Not only for the "T" joints, which are expensive, but for protection of my gimbal or anything else hanging under side. This is what I got to replace the "T".
This provides much better protection for my gimbal primarily and I can also stop my battery carriage from sliding. Solid mount instead of "hangars".
Added Capacitor to stop interference of my FPV system.
Added 35mm standoffs between top frame plate and FC anti-vibration plates.Can now put FPV Tx, Telemetry Tx and anything else centered instead of hanging on the side.
Upgraded GPS/Compass from M7n to M8n for "tighter" location lock. Also went to "shielded" mount because it's a good deal shorter. Landing tip overs have cost me two mounting bases. The first one "tweaked" my top frame plate. Will have to make a gusset to reinforce the mounting point.
Props................worked my way up to 1245s but for some reason they introduced an instability, as well as "overworking" my motors. So back to 1047s for now because of..................
Motors.............got a chance at some non-branded "anniversary" T-motors 950kv.(MN2213). That's the main reason to dropping back to the 1047s....extra 30kv per motor.
And a new 2-axis gimbal to replace the one that "broke".........
Haven't got it all together quit yet but getting close.............
