Added an AIO camera to the X520 and took it for a test flight. Powered by 2s 750mah, @ 6mins of flight. Take off from anywhere with this - For vertical take off you set 3-position switch to V-mode, throttle to mid-range, press the take off button and its up. To fly horizontal after vertical take off, set 3-position switch to 6G mode (1 down from V-mode). Good training for flying wings.


 
Yes, switch to 3D-mode (1 down from 6G mode) and it's ready for flips and rolls. I tried it and was in trouble real quick, switched back to 6G mode (1up from 3D mode) and it leveled off and corrected itself! Good intro to flying wings!
 
6g mode=angle/horizon mode on a quad.
3d mode=spooled up heli/quad in acro mode.

I've had some toys that we're similar.

Probably get into wings eventually, long distance on a wing sounds awesome.
