FPV Question

Hiya Folks,

Thinking of buying my first quadcopter. Been mulling over the DJI FC40 or the Walkera X350 Pro. Bearing in mind it'll probably get a bit of stick I think I'll probably go with the cheaper Walkera for the moment.

The question I have more than anything at the moment is about FPV... I have a Redleaf RD990 action cam I'd like to use with the Walkera, but I'm presuming it's not as easy as just hooking the camera up to the drone ? Would I need to buy some form of FPV kit to hook up any video output the RD990 might have ?

Any help apprecaited.

Cheers,

Paul.

Yes, The video signal out from the camera (if there is one) would have to be fed into a transmitter then that signal would go to a reciever (on the ground) and then the output of the reciever would go to a video monitor. You could also buy a stand alone system and the only extra weight it would add is a small FPV camera which is not that heavy but there are still power, weight, and attachment issues that have to be overcome.
