FPV optical zoom camera

Hi guys, recently got a DIY copter that a friend gave to me. I'm thinking of getting an FPV camera that's able to do x10 optical zoom. Am also thinking of attaching a 7-inch monitor to my transmitter so i don't need a ground station. However, i have some confusion as to how it all works. My goal is to achieve live-feed from the camera as well as being able to do optical zoom. My understanding is that there will be a 5.8GHz transmitter on the copter that transmits signal to the receiver which will display the live-feed to the monitor. If that is the case, do i also need another receiver on the camera so that it's able to receive signals from the transmitter to zoom in and out? If so, does it need to be at another frequency? Hope you guys could enlighten me and point out any mistakes!

You will probably need to take a channel from the Tx that controls the quadcopter. Or it is possible to get a VTx/VRx that has Full-Duplex. For example a Wi-Fi signal.
