I had had hot end clogs frequently until I came across this tip. It was no fun taking hot end apart and clear the clog. With this method, problem solved.
That is from my personal encounter with hot end issue.

It's a good tip have also had it where tpu sticks to old ptfe tube so agree with him about wear to the tube over time too.
