Flycolor raptor bls slim 40 amp dshot mode ?

I have the Flycolor bls slim 40 amp esc, this one exactly:
http://en.flycolor.net/index.php?c=category&id=201

They say it supports dshot 600, however i can find no information on this.

Blheli suite reads the mode as multi, see attached picture.

Now one of 2 things:
Does it need a firmware change to get it into dshot mode ?
Or can i leave it as is and simply select dshot 600 in emuflight ?

Will it automatically detect the dshot 600 capability on the esc ?

Yah typically fine to just change protocol in betaflight or emu or cleanflight configurator and the esc will start using new protocol as soon as you power cycle. If it doesn't interpret the signal if will just not move. Doesn't hurt to upgrade esc firmware but generally protocol is detected on start up so doesn't need to be set on the esc side. For ESCs you might want to set rgb led color if have them and or add music for startup or modify beeper or direction settings but otherwise don't really typically *need* to do anything to make it work.

One way I test for dshot is to give it an og esc calibration. If you don't hear the chimes you should be using dshot.
