hi guys,
well, 1 time i post here, and i want to start this awsome world.

so, im an electrician with good solids knowledgement of electronic and informatic's.

i start my quad with perfect simetric alluminium tube 1.4mm and plates design by me. with m4 alloy screws etc etc.

so, 1 questions.

the controller.

ok, i´ve read alot of reviews but don't know what to pick. and the diferences.

kk2.1.5 or multiwii??

i found a Multiwii pro flight controller with MTK GPS module
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/catalog/26588.jpg

and i found outher multiwii controllers, well, whats the basic diferences?

in comparation, kk 2.1.5 or multiwii, what's better?
i see that is easier kk2.1.5, but how about reability?

best regards

Of the two, I've only used a KK, but both are supposed to be very good and reliability is likely similar. The differences are really just that the kk is much simpler and easier to set up, but it has very few features. It is pretty much bare bones and will give you a nice stable platform to fly, but without all the bells and whisltes. The Multiwii Pro you linked has a bunch of features, but it will be more complicated to understand and set up - according to everything I've read. Although, based on that. I would personally go with the MultiWii board if I was choosing between the two. That's probably because I crashed too much when I used a KK board and I like to have more "assistance" (features) at my fingertips when I fly.

If you want the features and want something with a bit more documentation and also a clean interface to help you get it setup, you might want to look at the Naza M or M-Lite, but those are a lot more expensive. I keep meaning to mess around with a Multi Wii board, but I can never find the time.

well, thank you a lot mm...
i've read with full atention you anwser, and im almost decided to go for kk 2.1.5, they said its a very stable platform, pretty improved in comparation with previouse 2.1.
since its my beginig in the quad world, its better to start with something easier, and with the pass of the time, and experience try something harder, and "expensive", programing in arduino it not very simple, although its C++.

so, concluing, in your opinion:
"" newbies, go kk if your budget is 40/50$""? :)

best regards, and thank you guys

Exactly! When I started, I went with KK because of the simplicity and price. I see through other people's information that it has definitely improved since a few years ago when I started. It is a very good beginner board and when you're flying, you won't be as nervous about crashing because you won't have a $100-200 board on your copter!

I would say it's justified. But then again, you could just go with the KK and move up from there. The newer kk boards are supposed to be a lot better than when I started, and a lot of people use them for all their builds, so they are definitely good.
