First Build - Recommendations Needed!

Hello everyone,

I am new to the RC scene and I'm looking to build my first quadcopter. I have been looking into my first build for a couple months now and have done a little research. But of course, I am here to find some more knowledgable recommendation and information.

Purpose: My purpose of having a quadcopter is to be able to mount my GoPro 3+ or 4 and have great stability for videos/photos. Decent or long battery life would be beneficial.

Like I mentioned, I am VERY NEW to building and I am still in the learning process. If anyone can suggest different products that will make this build better for the price, please post.

What

I got the talon v2 and had little intention of puting the gopro on it, but now that i want to, i will have to build a mount as there is no where to mount it.

Hi plushtalon ,tell me about it thats what i have but its now at 700mm, i used a plate from the x525 to give me some where to mount the PDB and receiver

Hi mate if it was me i would buy a carbon fibre sheet and long legs , use the sheet to make a bigger bottom then mount legs to this and camera .
Now also on E bay there is a seller that sells legs that have a gimbal mount mounted already and also has mounts for extra batteries

First version of my rotor. Talon v2 with plates from two kits to make a "tower" for my electronics. Multistar 40a esc, multistar 4010-580kv brushless with 15x7.5 prop, naza lite flight controller, 4s 10000mah battery. Average flight time in attitude/GPS mode (best for video) about 40min.

These will give you the extra room for a gopro gimble.
