Christmas Greeting to Everyone,

I am new to this hobby. Started with a Hubsan x4 mini. Wanted to buy a DJI P2 for ages, but then someone got me thinking about building my own.

So this is what I bought:

- F450 Frame
- 850kv motors
- 20A ESC Quad
- Taranis XD9+ with X8R Receiver (so up to 16 channels)
- 3S 3200 MaH LiPo
- Pixhawk 32 Autopilot from 3DR
- GPS / compass module (3dr)

So presently I have a lot of reading and learning to do. I have updated firmware on the pixhawk but I cannot calibrate the accelerometer. Just times out when I click the 'calibrate accelerometer'.

Not sure what to do!

I have just disconnected the compass. Now I get past that screen, and instead get this:

Erm, well I am powering it via USB (cos that is the connection to the laptop), its also powered from the ESC to the power rail, however the main power source is not connected as I need to solder on Deans connectors and they are in the post.

Hi Stuart , some times the FCB need to have its main power working to set up the usb will only have a tiny power out put , like i said i have never used the FCB you have , but on all the ones i have used it need to be power from the flight battery

Hey, thank you. Well I ahve written to 3DR to ask for help and asked the company I bought it from for support. They think it may be a problem with running the initial setup on a mac. Apparently, when just running calibration, USB power should be fine.

We'll see, thanks for your help.
