Hi all,
recently came into this hobby.
trying to build a quad X with following components:

Frame: Reptile 500 (generic)
ESC: Generic 30 amps
Outrunners: Generic 1400kv
FC: MultiWii SE v2.5
TX-RX: FS-TH9X
Battery: LiPo 3S 5200mah 30C

building steps:
frame assembled = ok
motor mounted = ok
ESC mounted = ok
diy built power distribution board for ESC's and mounting = ok
ESC connected to outrunners and with power distribution board = ok
checked connectivity by connecting battery and bldc tester (servo tester) = ok
FC installed = ok
latest firmware loaded in FC v2.4 in FC = ok
FC configured with MultiWii GUI = ok
calibrated Accelero and Magneto in GUI and write = ok
rx connected with FC = ok
tx configured for acro = ok
battery connected with power distribution board = ok

problem:
one motor No. 10 keeps beeping after FC self calibration
rx indicator light stable but no movement in motors when giving throttle
motor No. 10 keeps beeping
when connected with MultiWii GUI, it shows that the tx-rx is working but there is no physical movement.
i am unable to arm the quad and tx-rx commands works directly without arming command
when directly connecting the esc with rx it works but when connected to FC they don't work.
checked all ESC's with their programmer for all settings which are ok

any suggestions.

Motors appear to be too small (too high KV) you probably want to go with some 800-1000 kv motors, if you already bought them, just be careful not to over prop them.

Your problem sounds like it is with the FC.

Take a look at this video, it is 1 of 7

hi GJH105775,

many thanks for your very quick reply. really appreciated.

as a beginner i need to learn a lot. i was not sure how to arm and disarm my TX-RX until i tried different combinations of sticks. my arming sequence is pushing the right stick to center top then left stick to down right and disarming pushing the right stick to center top then left stick to down left. it worked for me. the motors are spinning. one problem solved.

rest of the problems are:
=motor at number 10 still beeps. i guess the ESC is bad. i have ordered some more ESC with the same specifications and will change it and see the results.
=motor at number 11 is not working properly i.e. spins stops - spins stops and stops
=visually the other 2 motors at number 3 and 9 are not working synchronously i.e. number 3 has more speed and number 9 has less speed. i guess i have to tune this in the TX or there must be some problem with gyro / accelro / magneto or might be in firmware.

by the way the youtube video reference you gave is really very helpful. watched all the episodes of multiwii.

any more suggestions?

Do calibrate your FCB on a level surface, you need to sync your ESCs, also check to see if it is an ESC problem or motor problem by swapping motors around. They are su

how i am gonna calibrate ESC's. i have individually connected the ESC's to RX and giving throttle on TX and they all work. i am not sure how i will sync my ESC's. can you explain a bit? i have also tried swap method, results are same. also now big issue i am again unable to arm the FC. was playing with the settings of TX and lost the sequence. factory restored the FC and TX no results. this is getting on my nerves now. i am about to order KK 2.1.5 and hope that every thing will work though i dont like this FC because lack of baro sensor as at the moment i am interested in altitude hold flights only. after that i will see for acro or FPV.
another questions: is it possible to arm FC without ESC's presence.

Sounds like you have not calibrated your FCB well or you are not taking off from a level surface, ESC syc won't stop you from taking off, and if you did them individually they should be fine.

Also the KK does not have altitude hold, though if you tune the height dampening really well it will do better than some with alt-hold.
