First build - 3D printed frame

I want to build my own quadcopter for my Gopro camera. I have just bought a 3D printer and thought it would be fun to make the frame on my own.

Since it's my first build, I have trouble with deciding what build to make - Items and what to build.

I have found two two different build.

The Mhq2, I have just found that build, and the first one "Crossfire" I have a list with items, since I thought it was the one to make. But, I dont know now. Should I make the quadcopter or the hovership?

For the crossfire, I have been recommended following items:

esc

Anything you would recommend instead? Is it overkill items, I find it a bit expensive ;)
Also, It's the first quodcopter that I will own. I have owned a RC helicopter earlier. I want to build a Quadcopter that is easy to fly- Do I need something for self leveling, or should I go for a gps on it? A guy recommended to get mission plane on the ARM.

I hope you can help a newbie;)

One problem is that you need at least a 70 amp ESC, these motors have a lot of torque, and with that comes higher amp draw. The 30 amp ESCs just can't handle the load.

70 amp wil lprobably be fine, 73+ would be recommended here are more. Try to avoid getting opto ESCs, as you need to get a BEC for those. Here are some I found that you can flash later with Simon K

I don't think that this is over powered, it will yield better battery life if you

Also I am fairly sure that that battery can't support the amp draw. I would get a much higher C battery.

I can't tell the difference between a quad and hovership. They seem to be the same thing.
