Hope someone has a few minutes to help an old guy out. Im completely new-ish. I've been reading, watching videos, Ive bought a radio and have been playing on the simulator but im looking at a 3in drone Im thinking of buying but not sure if what I currently have will work with it out of the box, do I need anything else after or while purchasing the drone?
Will the fpv googles ive chosen but haven't purchased yet work with this setup?
Basically if you can, let me know if what I post below will work, what will i need on top of it if anything and any other info or suggestions you might have for an old guy trying this out for the first time. Also if you have any suggestions on a good brand of antennas as I know the bipolars that come with the goggles I like are basically throw away from what Ive read.
Thanks in advance and I appreciate any help
Semper Fi.

Radio: FrSky Taranis Q X7 2.4GHz 16CH Transmitter

antennas: 2pcs foxerr 5.8g lollipop 3 2.5Dbi Omni,
Realacc triple feed patch-1 5.8ghz 9.4dbi directional circular polarized pagota antenna - not sure about this one as it states for fatshark and eachine googles.

"Hobby Drones" enthusiasts will strongly disagree with me, but I am going to say it anyway...…..

1. If you are really a "completely new-ish", You would be better off to start with what people call "toy drone" first. That's how a "newbie" learn to fly a drone. When you become competent enough, then move on to the "Hobby drone" arena.

2. In light of the covid-19 pandemic, it is not a good idea to buy from China, unless you are in China.
You never know when you will see the item at your front door.
I'm in Canada. I bought 5 plastic 1:24 display cases from Amazon.ca on Feb. 29th, not knowing that the items are to be sent from China.
It's April 16th now, and I am still waiting for them.

I have no particular suggestion for you, just my 2 cents.

Sounds like what my parents would say..haha. They said not to buy the 70 cuda with a 4 speed when i turned 16 but I did anyway and had a blast with it and learned to really drive that beast as well and became a damn good mechanic because of it. Got suspended from the 7th grade for cleaning a 35 pound stripped bass I left campus to go fish for during school and got caught cleaning it in the boys bathroom. Ive always done it my way. the china delivery thing is a good point though.
Lets say I buy from here like race day quads or Getfpv. what would you say about the items im thinking about? Minus the drone as it comes from china. Maybe another quad suggestion? As you see im getting what Im getting, its on me and no one else, ive been warned. I do everything the hard way so...
Appreciate the input just the same.

There are quite a few well versed "hobby drone" enthusiasts in this forum.
They will give you in-depth info. Please wait a bit for them to come along.
Good luck and have fun.
