Hi everyone, new here, first post.
I have an Emax pro 250 from ten years ago, I think it is all there, and am going to try and build it.
Whats in the box.
Emax Nighthawk 250 pro frame.
4 x Simon K 12A 5v 2S-4S ESC's
1 x FrSky D4R-11
4 x Emax MT 2400-2300kv Motors.
Not sure what the power distribution board or the FC are, they are both brown
with gold pads, they came with it but there is no name on them, they both measure
35mm by 35 mm with hole centers at 30.5 mm apart, measuring with a tape, am guessing
they will be standard enough measurements.
The FC I think is an upgrade they offered to the CCD3, think it is a based board if I recall.
I can post a picture of the FC and Power boards if it helps identify them.
My main issue is I am not good at soldering, and it looks like there should be
headers soldered onto the FC board, so might upgrade it to avoid soldering to a
board that will also be compatible with Linux for programming.
I only use Linux so could someone reccomend me software that will run on Linux
and work with a board of the same dimensions as mentioned above, 35 mm x 35 mm.
I have downloaded Betaflight and Cleanflight, I think Betaflight is still in developement
as the git hub does not show recent updates to Cleanflight.
I am open to more suitable sofrware solutions and a FC if required, but as am not good
at soldering I would like to try use the one I have just in case I destroy a better / newer one.
I have seen FC's online with no soldering required, they have sockets of some sort on them,
they are expensive and I have no idea which one will work with my radio or if any of them
will even work with Betaflight or Cleanflight on Linux.
Lots of questions I know, but I am completely new to this and would appreciate help.

Thanks to all, look forward to your input.
