Eachine H7 Problems after Transmitter Swap

So, a bought one of these when they first came out and loved it. I liked the trans from another mini and tried connecting it. it acted sluggish so I went back to the other controller. Now the thing will act fine and after a few seconds of flight pull to the front right like crazy and become impossible to trim. I know the blades are in there correct orientation cutting inward. The front right motor also chatters like crazy after it loses orientation. I would like to fix it if I can. I also don't know how to calibrate it but I think it does it on power up anyway. Any ideas on what went wrong?

I would search how to calibrate the quad first and go from there..Re calibrating may very well solve your issue.

The gyros can sometimes act funny supplying one motor with more power thinking its moving in a direction its not.

If that doesn't solve it i would try a motor...if that doesnt do it then i would consider a new board.

Ok so I did some looking around and found on another forum that it may be trim protocols causing it. I would post a link but I don't know the rules on that. The motors seem good so I'm guessing since I connected to another tx it may have sent the wrong protocol. It wasn't badly wrecked or anything. It only started acting weird after the tx switch. Too bad I don't have a tx where I can change the protocol. This thing is discontinued so parts are overpriced. Also as far as I can tell there is no way to recalibrate. Only thing I found on that is a random post saying it calibrates on power up.

I checked for a re calibration procedure as well and there is none really aside from making sure its on as level of a surface as possible...this is some old school re calibrating.

Its possible something went wrong in the board when trying the different tx...I dont know exactly what happen with it or why it would have caused a problem...Possibly damaged the gyros or another function.

You say you hear the one motor chatter?

Yep, the direction it's pulling has a chattering motor. Maybe it's just a coincidence and the motor went when I changed tx. really weird... I did find them under the name M9912 for the original price. Might just order another.

Could be the gyro going nuts to that one motor fluctuating power on and off quickly.

If i may suggest, i would recommend something considered better if you were interested?

The Bayang X9 is an amazing flyer and very cheap to repair as well as parts available for it almost everywhere...You can buy one for $20.00

It also has an up to date re calibration procedure that is easy to do when you need it...The controller is bigger and more powerful giving you more range as well.

I really liked this one due to the fast rates, awesome stability(before it broke), big battery, and size. Had to go with another one for only $10 shipped. Actually thinking about going with an fx-10 or smallest hexa too. really like nano's best. I have an H107C and a udi u816 that are similar to the one you suggest. At that size I feel I have to fly outdoors(my house doesn't have very big rooms).

Ok, fair enough....The x9 is more than capable outdoors in high rates but is also a great small room indoor flyer.

I would keep one on your mind to try out one these days...i dont think it would disappoint you.

Let us know how the new quad works out.

Well I thought about the chattering and what would cause it. I looked at the copter and noticed that without the prop guard the motor mounts became loose. Some rubber bands and its back in action. I'll have to see how it compares to a fresh one. It's not perfect but it seems good now. Success! Now I have to decide between the jjrc h20 or fayee fy805. Leaning towards the 805 but the h20 seems to have better speed.

If you want all out speed look into a jjrc 1000 with a different controller (tarantula x6) or maybe the H8 mini or Jungchen 3015...All speed rockets.

The H8 mini can also be used with the bayang X9 controller.

Glad you have your other quad figured out.
