Walking a mile takes 15 minutes, x 1/4 = 3 minutes, 45 seconds, then I assume it waits for the bus to come and has to come back. cutting it close on battery life. What happens when the kid gets into a pickle on his way to the bus stop? The dad is nowhere near to protect him, unless he takes the controls and crashes the copter into the kidnapper, lol. Makes for an interesteing news story, but not that realistic.

Agreed. He needs to build one with a bb gun on it and pilot it himself so he can attack any threats.
